Available Berlin Stratospheric Data
All the data on this CD can be found below the directory
data. To give an overview, all kinds of data
are listed here in tabular form:
Northern Hemispheric Gridpoint Data:
The data Formats of the Berlin Stratospheric gridpoint data are described in
Section 8.2. Climatological
data for a 30 and 37-year period are available (cf. Section 8.2.3).

Zonal Mean Data:
Zonal mean data are only available for the 10° x 10° gridpoint
data. The data format is described in Section 8.3.
For the 30-hPa level the North Pole Temperatures are available from
1955 - 2001 (cf. Section 1.2 Early North Pole Data).

QBO Data Series:
The complete data set of the QBO (Quasi Biennial Oscillation)
is stored in the two files qbo_53-01.dat and
singapore_87-01.dat. These data was derived from radiosonde data under the guidance of
Barbara Naujokat. Confer Section 5 for more information.
The data formats of these files are decribed in Section 8.4.
All the data files are in ASCII format. Software to read the data is
provided in the software directory.
